District Defend Product Manager

Lead the strategy, vision, and execution of Booz Allen Hamilton's District Defend product, a software-based zero-trust security platform serving the Federal Government.

Responsibilities

• Steer the product strategy, roadmap, and delivery for District Defend, aligning with program goals and client needs.
• Guide a cross-functional team to deliver a high-value, user-centered security solution.
• Apply advanced principles and contribute to the development of new product concepts and practices.
• Succeed in Agile environments, navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and evolving customer requirements.

Requirements

• Experience collaborating with Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid approaches.
• Proficiency with backlog and requirements management processes.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices and cloud technologies.
• Ability to write clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria and to prioritize backlogs.
• Ability to understand system architecture, APIs, and technical constraints, translating complex details for stakeholders and evaluating implications of technical choices.
• Capability to convert customer insights and analytics into actionable product roadmaps.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience in Product Management or Agile software development roles, or 12+ years of experience in those roles in lieu of a degree.

It proactively protects organizational data, devices, and networks through dynamic, automated safeguards aligned to enterprise security rules. The solution continuously validates device trust, adapts to evolving threat landscapes, and enables secure remote or classified work by enforcing strict access controls.

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation

Salary is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as contract and organizational requirements. The projected range for this role is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 USD annually. This posting closes within 90 days of the posting date.

Work Model

• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, with direct collaboration as required.
