Senior Product Manager (Advanced Network Security Services)
Job Description
Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and launch all-new network security services built to help defend customers against automated, AI-driven attacks. Based in Santa Clara, CA (onsite), this role sets product vision and strategy, then drives execution from early concepts through launch on an existing platform.
Working closely with engineering and security research, you will help ideate, prototype, and test new service concepts, using real-world threat insights to shape requirements. You will also partner with enterprise security practitioners and go-to-market teams to guide adoption, positioning, pricing, and launch execution.
What you’ll do
- Define next-generation network security services designed to stop agentic and automated attackers across platforms.
- Bootstrap new products from the ground up, validating problems and driving solutions through general availability.
- Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution plan through launch and adoption.
- Partner hands-on with engineering and threat researchers to ideate, prototype, and validate product concepts.
- Monitor the evolving threat landscape and translate emerging attack behaviors into actionable product requirements.
- Shape the role of AI in products by understanding adversary LLM usage and defensive countermeasures.
- Work with enterprise security practitioners and CISOs to uncover problems and inform product decisions.
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams on positioning, pricing, and launch planning as a domain expert.
- Use telemetry, threat data, and usage metrics to guide prioritization and continuously improve products.
What we’re looking for
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of combined experience in technical product management, security engineering, or offensive security.
- 3+ years of product management experience specifically for security products.
- A proven record of taking a new security product from conceptualization through launch and customer adoption.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber attacks, adversary tradecraft, and emerging automated attack behaviors.
- Hands-on experience with internet attack surface discovery, IPS/IDS, network deception, and evasion techniques.
- Strong understanding of how modern AI and LLMs are used by both adversaries and defenders.
- Ability to engage engineering technically, challenge assumptions, and test prototypes.
- Experience working directly with enterprise security customers, from practitioners to CISOs.
- Bias to action, with the ability to set direction and drive results without a predefined plan.
