Job Description

This role serves as the product owner for Duck Creek at Capgemini, with responsibility for shaping and managing the Duck Creek product roadmap and backlog. The position connects business priorities to delivery execution through Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, and release and UAT activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the Duck Creek product roadmap and backlog.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements.
  • Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and demos.
  • Drive feature prioritization, product releases, and UAT activities.
  • Maintain alignment between Duck Creek capabilities and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience with Duck Creek Policy, Billing, and/or Claims.
  • Deep understanding of P&C insurance processes.
  • Experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Lead Business Analyst.
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong skills in stakeholder management and backlog prioritization.
  • Knowledge of APIs, integrations, and insurance ecosystem applications.

Preferred Skills

  • Duck Creek certifications.
  • Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand (DCOD).
  • Exposure to Azure/AWS and Agile tooling such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire or other insurance core platforms.

Location and Compensation

Location: New York, NY (onsite)

Salary: USD 120,000 - 145,000 per year
