Embedded Systems Engineer: Product Owner

RFA Engineering is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer: Product Owner to lead product-focused software development for precision agriculture technology. The role combines embedded systems understanding with product ownership responsibilities, working closely with users, clients, and a Scrum-based engineering team to plan, prioritize, and deliver new capabilities using automotive-industry tooling and processes.

Compensation

USD 100,000 - 140,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with prospective users and clients to identify needs, anticipate requirements, and translate them into product requirements
• Define the vision for the team’s product
• Create and maintain a product roadmap aligned to the vision
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog as requirements change
• Oversee product creation across design and development phases
• Develop user stories
• Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process
• Coordinate with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
• Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related
• In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology
• Working knowledge of product development architecture
• Proficiency in the use of analytic tools
• Ability to prioritize effectively
• Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles
• Understanding of design quality standards
• Ability to lead a team of developers
