Base Power Company is building affordable, reliable power for the people who need it, and the Growth team sets the pace for how fast Base can deliver. In this technical role, you will help create data-driven member experiences across the full lifecycle, from top-of-funnel education and conversion to post-conversion retention and satisfaction. You will work closely with marketing, sales, support, product, and design in a lean, high-ownership environment, with everything grounded in one question: are we solving people’s problems?
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other GTM teams to understand member-experience gaps and how users move through the journey with Base.
- Investigate product experiences that can improve the current user journey.
- Assess existing data, identify what data is missing, and use those findings to design stronger experiences.
- Ship MVP experiences quickly, then collect data to evaluate outcomes, success, and learnings.
- Iterate rapidly based on measurement and feedback.
- Build product roadmaps across the experience funnel to address conversion and retention problems.
What you bring
- User-centric approach to investigating, understanding, and solving problems.
- Systems thinking to connect how data and processes work across teams.
- Experience in growth engineering, product, or another fast-paced technical role.
- Strong data fundamentals, including building reports to diagnose issues, analyze results, drive action from insights, and monitor success.
- Drive to iterate and improve rapidly.
- Understanding of software architectures and best practices.
- Strong communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
About the technical nature of the role
This is a technical Product Manager position focused on building world-class experiences that connect Base’s value props throughout the entire member lifecycle. You will support data-driven marketing experiences that drive education and conversion, and you will also deliver post-conversion interactions designed to support retention and satisfaction.
You do not need software experience, but you must be able to build quickly using strong foundational architectures designed to scale and iterate. You will work within the constraints of an existing system, so “0 to 1 vibe coding” typically does not meet the bar.
Team culture and values
The Growth team operates as one team across marketing, sales, support, product, and design. You will work in-person and the pace is defined by learning by doing, direct feedback, and ownership. Values include First Principles Thinking, Operate at Base Pace, Give & Get Feedback, Everyone’s an Owner, Strong Opinions, Loosely Held, Committed to the Mission, and Fun & Optimism Coexist with Grit.
