Insurance Product Manager

Onsite Insurance Product Manager role focused on landlord dwelling products across multiple states, based in Leawood, KS.

Responsibilities

• Own growth and profitability for Landlord Dwelling products across multiple states.
• Identify, design, create, and implement new opportunities and initiatives.
• Enhance coverage and form language, and draft new endorsements.
• Analyze profitability drivers including loss ratios, actuarial indications, frequency/severity trends, retention, and other data across products, books, and channels.
• Manage rate filings in states to price for the required return across products and segments.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on landlord insurance, including forms, endorsements, underwriting guidelines, and rates.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on programming specifications.
• Assist in creating novel underwriting factors with internal and external partners.
• Develop and implement robust data-driven action plans to continually improve performance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and help lead the insurance product function at Steadily.
• Conduct competitive analyses and maintain SERFF proficiency.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years in insurance with personal lines product management; bonus for HO or DP experience; experience creating or editing policy form language.
• Builder: Builder mindset with a track record of taking projects from inception to launch; bias toward action.
• Skilled: Strong technical and analytical abilities; effective communication with teammates, stakeholders, leadership, and regulators; written and oral communication well above average; proficient with SERFF and competitor filings.
• Hungry: Eager to join an early-stage tech startup to accelerate growth and make a meaningful impact.
