Job Description

The Lead, Digital Product Design will steer the design strategy for Nike Run Club and Nike Training Club, guiding a team of designers and partnering across functions to deliver differentiated digital fitness experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop deep insight into athlete motivations by staying immersed in sport and digital fitness trends, translating findings into differentiated concepts.
  • Rapidly visualize and prototype multiple design directions, weighing business and technical implications of each solution.
  • Create polished designs that represent the Nike brand across wireframes, flows, visual comps, and interactive prototypes.
  • Own an entire product space or lead large projects with broad or undefined features.
  • Think strategically, drive innovation, and execute on cross‑team products within a domain.
  • Iterate design concepts quickly from briefing to final delivery.
  • Facilitate and lead brainstorms and workshops with the team.
  • Collaborate closely with producers, product managers, project managers, engineers, researchers and fellow designers.
  • Inspire new ways of thinking with fresh approaches to design problems.
  • Mentor designers and interns, providing constructive feedback to raise the craft.
  • Evangelize the Nike brand and strengthen internal design culture through initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of end-to-end digital product design with proven visual, UX/UI and prototyping skills.
  • Experience delivering consumer-facing experiences that improve onboarding, habit formation, personalization, motivation, community, content discovery, or activity tracking.
  • Strong product thinking, interaction design, data science, experimentation and execution, with expertise in one or more areas.
  • Hands-on, systems-minded designer with solid UX/UI and information architecture capabilities.
  • User-centered design approach and an insights-driven process.
  • Collaborative mindset with product managers, engineers, writers, researchers and marketers.
  • Experience working with consumer research and data.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and excellent time management, enabling accurate estimates and early delivery.
  • Ability to influence design patterns or standards adopted across teams.
  • Proficiency with Cursor and Figma.
  • Cross‑platform design experience across web, Android and iOS.
  • Ability to articulate a compelling vision and gain buy‑in from stakeholders.
  • Skill in creating a cohesive look and feel across large projects.
  • Experience launching software at scale in a fast-paced product organization.
  • Passion for Nike, sport, and high‑quality outputs.
  • Interest in innovation and digital tools and trends.
  • Experience with digital fitness, wellness, coaching, activity tracking, wearables, training plans, guided content, challenges, achievements, or community features.
  • Familiarity with Nike Run Club, Nike Training Club, or similar consumer fitness products.
