Job Description

Lead apparel designer for Jordan Streetwear at Nike, onsite in Beaverton, Oregon, directing design concepts for Jordan Men’s Streetwear and mentoring fellow designers.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of Jordan Men’s Streetwear apparel across a spectrum from premium streetwear to highly technical outerwear and high-volume franchise resets.
Shape and communicate the future Jordan Streetwear aesthetic while mentoring junior designers.
Present concepts to internal and external audiences under the direction of the Streetwear Product Creative Director.
Drive cross-disciplinary collaboration with graphics, accessories, footwear, color, product management, material and trim development, technical development, and sourcing to advance the Jordan Brand aesthetic and vision.
Translate consumer insights into trend-right streetwear products that resonate with the market.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related field; alternative combinations of education, experience, and training considered.
Minimum 5 years of design experience with materials, trims, design, and fit.
Strong foundational design skills including 2D CAD, croquis sketching, head-to-toe concept development, prototype fittings, and detailed tech packs (3D experience is a plus).
In-depth knowledge of how materials, silhouettes, proportions, trims, and color theory combine to create cohesive head-to-toe looks.
Excellent visual and verbal storytelling to articulate design concepts and narratives.
Solution-oriented mindset with initiative and resourcefulness.
Ability to balance business objectives with pushing the boundaries of Jordan design.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and timelines concurrently.
Professional level proficiency with Illustrator, Photoshop, Miro, CLO, Keynote, and Vizcom.
