Portal Product Owner - Life and Annuity Business Unit

Accenture's Life and Annuity Business Unit is seeking a Portal Product Owner to lead the management of its digital portal platform serving life and annuity clients. In this Agile environment, you will shape product strategy, convert roadmaps into actionable work items, and collaborate across product, engineering, and design teams to deliver meaningful features. This onsite role is based in Morristown, NJ, with a salary range of USD 87,400 to 224,600 per year.

Responsibilities

• Own the portal platform backlog, ensuring priorities reflect the product strategy and user needs.
• Partner with Product Management to convert strategic roadmap initiatives into detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with engineering teams in an Agile setting to plan, refine, and deliver features across sprint cycles.
• Define and document user journeys for key personas including agents, policyholders, customer service representatives, and administrators.
• Work with UX and design teams to ensure adherence to published UX/UI guidelines.
• Engage internal stakeholders, customers, and implementation teams to gather feedback and validate requirements.
• Support integration requirements with policy administration systems, CRM platforms, document management, and identity/access management solutions.
• Participate in sprint reviews, backlog refinement, and release planning while maintaining quality and alignment with acceptance criteria.
• Monitor product performance, user feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of Life and Annuity industry experience or knowledge.
• Minimum of 3 years working with insurance policy administration systems or digital insurance platforms.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with accessibility standards, digital security best practices, and modern portal frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years). If holding an Associate's Degree, must have a minimum of 6 years of work experience.
