Job Description

Meta is seeking a Product Manager for Central Product to lead a complex product area and drive AI-native product development at scale. This role blends strategy and execution with evaluation and data practices, cross-functional leadership, and responsible AI considerations, all while building momentum across multiple teams and workstreams.

The position is based in San Francisco, CA (onsite) and offers USD 173,000 - 241,000 per year. The role requires a strong product leader with at least 3 years of Product Management experience and a demonstrated ability to translate AI capabilities into product strategy and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive a complex product area, defining success, prioritizing problems, and selecting strategies with consideration for organizational and company context.
  • Adapt strategies as learnings and context change, including determining when to stop and when to start investment.
  • Identify and drive consensus on prioritization and how to realize the most significant opportunities within the product area.
  • Critically evaluate when AI is and is not the optimal solution, including tradeoffs, risks, and second-order effects.
  • Translate AI capabilities into compelling product visions that create differentiated value.
  • Develop and champion AI-native strategies, including comprehensive evaluations and data strategies that enable continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define product vision, develop a roadmap, drive progress against goals and milestones, and resolve challenges and blockers while improving team health and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities and resolve dependencies across adjacent product areas by creating shared strategies.
  • Reimagine workflows and responsibly use AI tools to increase team velocity and capability.
  • Foster a culture of rapid experimentation and learning across the organization.
  • Scale AI best practices, workflows, and artifacts across product teams so organizational capability compounds over time, including responsible AI use.
  • Support the growth of other PMs and cross-functional teammates through mentorship and coaching on AI-native practices.
  • Influence strategy and progress across partner functions, enhancing collaboration and resolving divergent goals.
  • Orchestrate complex execution across multiple workstreams by combining AI automation with strategic human oversight to reduce toil while maintaining quality and accountability.
  • Communicate product strategy and progress with radical clarity to all stakeholders.
  • Use AI-enabled tools to build products, independently creating tangible artifacts to prototype, validate, or ship.
  • Interpret research and state-of-the-art learnings to shape product strategy using rigorous logical reasoning.
  • Demonstrate understanding of system and architecture tradeoffs and how they impact user experience and business outcomes.
  • Lead credible technical discussions with engineering partners.
  • Gather and analyze user research and market analysis to inform product decisions and influence the wider product organization.
  • Design sophisticated experiments, interpret results (leveraging AI to accelerate analysis), and drive concrete product decisions.
  • Define and run evaluations to interpret model outputs and adjust execution, establishing evaluation as a first-class product practice across teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI-enabled tools to build product artifacts.
  • Experience integrating diverse requirements from broad user sets and context into a single coherent product strategy.
  • Experience identifying and hiring the right talent to build an AI-capable cross-functional team.
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience with at least 3 years in Product Management.
  • Experience managing a product through the full product lifecycle.
  • Experience developing and scaling AI-native strategies, including evals and data strategies across teams.
  • Extensive understanding analyzing large-scale, complex data sets and making effective decisions based on data.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams and influencing across an organization.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating clearly and bringing extreme clarity to complex and technical messages across all audience levels.
  • Proven experience driving a step change in product performance and the effectiveness of the team delivering it.
  • Experience leading cross-functional product team(s) across a full product line, including crafting product mission and strategy, defining product requirements, coordinating resources (for example marketing and legal), and driving milestones and goals.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or relevant degree equivalent). STEM subject ideal but not essential, including Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, or Applied Sciences.

  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt or context engineering and agent orchestration, while staying current with emerging AI technologies.
