Product Manager, Food Starch
Job Description
ADM seeks a Product Manager for Food Starch in Decatur, IL, onsite. This role oversees the corn food starch and buy/resell starch product lines with P&L responsibility, collaborating across sales, planning, supply chain, operations, finance, and technical service to grow the business and expand starch types, including Tapioca.
Responsibilities
- Lead Food Starch product management across North America, including contract and price administration.
- Manage and expand the buy resell starch position, currently including Tapioca, with potential to add other starch types; coordinate closely with supply chain on import and related SOPs.
- Develop understanding of commodity markets, especially Corn, with basic familiarity of Chicago Board of Trade concepts such as basis, flat pricing, and co-products.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, ADM sales teams, and customers to identify strategies, challenges, and needs.
- Actively use and implement the CRM tool Salesforce.com for customer relationship management.
- Monitor and apply risk management procedures to ensure adherence to risk guidelines.
- Work with cross-functional project teams, including Business Unit Managers, Corporate Communications, General Managers, Marketing, Sales, R&D/Technical, Finance, and other stakeholders to drive results.
- Collaborate with business unit functions on development of new ingredients within the product line.
- Coordinate with global Carbohydrate groups and partners to align customer activities and import/export opportunities.
- Participate in intermodal logistics coordination to meet customer expectations for imported and exported products.
- Oversee back-office coordination within the group, including month-end reconciliations, customer service, FP&A reporting, and legal agreements.
- Provide updates on activities through reports and presentations using multiple communication channels.
- Serve as a key member of the Carbohydrate team, contributing to strategy and supporting the overall starches strategic plan.
- Coordinate between production and sales groups to align plant operations with sales efforts.
- Demonstrate strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively across teams.

Compensation
- Salary: USD 92,800 - 172,800 per year
- Annual bonus included as part of the total compensation package
