The Product Manager III for the Commercial Digital Portal at M&T Bank leads strategic growth and ongoing management across portal product lines, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant, and customer-focused digital services.
Overview
This role drives the strategic growth and management of multiple Commercial Digital Portal product lines, shaping market strategies, roadmaps, pricing, and profitability while ensuring alignment with risk and regulatory standards and delivering an excellent customer experience. Salary for this position ranges from USD 107,500 to USD 179,100 per year.
Responsibilities
- Own the Commercial Digital Portal vision, guiding development, deployment, and ongoing innovation of services and features.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to craft, prioritize, and execute the service, functionality, and user experience roadmap based on user insights, usability testing, and feedback loops.
- Partner with Treasury Management Product teams and other Commercial units to embed new services into the portal and enhance existing offerings.
- Work with the Customer Experience Team to ensure the portal delivers an exceptional unified commercial experience.
- Coordinate with Technology Teams to optimize scalability, performance, and integration capabilities.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure internal security, regulatory compliance, and standards are met.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to track portal health, performance, and backlog prioritization.
- Set strategic direction for assigned product lines and present business plans to senior management and staff.
- Lead sales and channel strategy for the portal.
- Own pricing, cost structure, and product risk responsibilities.
- Manage all product financials including revenue planning and profitability.
- Review market developments and evaluate potential new services or modifications to existing offerings.
- Assess the performance of new products or services and implement changes in service or marketing strategy.
- Manage all aspects of new product implementation and ongoing product modification, including design, development, portfolio acquisitions, and process improvements.
- Serve as a liaison with affected departments.
- Establish marketing objectives and collaborate with other bank departments to develop effective programs to sell services and products.
- Continuously monitor the effectiveness of new products and services and adjust service or marketing strategy as needed.
- Recommend product pricing based on cost structure.
- Ensure products and services are marketable, profitable, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Remain aware of trends in marketing and company products and services to inform strategic decisions.
- Understand and adhere to the company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, escalating risk-related issues as needed.

- Maintain internal control standards, including timely response to audit points and regulator-related issues as applicable.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 7 years of proven experience across marketing, product management, finance, operations, and/or project management
- Alternatively, in lieu of a degree, a combined total of 11 years of higher education and/or work experience, including at least 7 years
