Product Manager, Technical: Responsible AI

T-Mobile USA, Inc. is looking for a Product Manager to lead its Responsible AI evaluation framework and program, with a specific focus on AI transparency and disclosure standards. This role owns the end-to-end product lifecycle, shaping how evaluation coverage and findings are produced, reviewed, and closed so business and technical stakeholders can make decisions with clear evidence.

Working onsite in Frisco, TX, you will balance technical feasibility with business objectives, including Legal and regulatory requirements, while driving continuous improvement across production performance and evaluation outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Own the end-to-end lifecycle for the Responsible AI evaluation framework and program, including the AI transparency and disclosure standard, by defining vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned to business and technical goals
• Conduct market and customer research to identify opportunities and inform product decisions using data analysis and customer feedback, including Responsible AI frameworks and requirements provided by Legal
• Translate product strategy into features and user stories, manage the product backlog, and support Agile development teams with evaluation tests and benchmarks built and run by AI engineers
• Coordinate release schedules and ensure timely delivery by collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including Legal, Privacy, and the Applied AI design authority
• Monitor product performance and quality in production, handle defects, drive continuous improvement, and track evaluation findings through closure with system owners
• Perform other assigned duties or projects as directed by business management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience (Required)
• Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience (Required)
• 3+ years experience in a hands-on technical role writing production code, solution engineering, or technical architecture in a large-scale company environment (Required)
• 5+ years relevant Product Management experience in an Agile software product development environment (Required)
• Demonstrated skills in Agile SDLC, Analytical Thinking, Backlog Management, Customer-Focused product work, Product Management, Product Requirements, Product Specifications, Solution Architecture Design, Stakeholder Management, and Technical Design Documentation (Required)

Preferred

• Experience running an evaluation, testing, or quality program for AI or machine learning systems
• Working knowledge of Responsible AI frameworks such as the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (fairness and bias, explainability, transparency, and harmful output)
• Experience with AI used in regulated decision areas such as employment, credit, or insurance, in collaboration with Legal, Privacy, or compliance
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Compensation and location

• Location: Frisco, TX (onsite)
• National base pay range: USD 103,400 to 186,400 per year
• Total target cash earnings opportunity: USD 118,910 to 214,360
