Product Operations Lead

The Product Operations Lead drives Óptima’s internal transformation by assessing current workflows, designing solutions with key stakeholders, and delivering execution across operations, technology, data, automation, and product resources. This hybrid role spans product, operations, transformation, and delivery, coordinating multiple parallel workstreams.

What You’ll Do

• Map processes with sufficient precision to identify improvement opportunities with the highest return on investment, considering time, cost, errors, customer experience, and regulatory risk.
• Evaluate external opportunities, including new partners, channels, and integrations with brokers, MGAs, and other third parties, assessing technical, commercial, and regulatory feasibility.
• Investigate product opportunities within internal platforms to expand reach into new lines of business or use cases.
• Convert findings into solution proposals by presenting evaluated options such as buy, build, integrate, automate, or redesign, including explicit trade-offs.
• Define actionable specifications for execution teams, including acceptance criteria, dependencies, and success metrics.
• Coordinate delivery through collaboration with internal teams across development, data, automation, technology, and product, plus internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead working sessions to align stakeholders, remove blockers, and sustain momentum across discovery, design, build, launch, and iteration.
• Act as a bridge between teams by translating operational and business language into technical language and vice versa.
• Communicate direction, progress, trade-offs, and decisions to operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between group entities for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring optimal product and solution design and implementation.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience: 3–5+ years in product roles, tech operations, digital transformation, technology consulting, or operations in companies with complex processes.
• Track record: Proven ability to take initiatives from idea to execution with quantifiable results.
• Languages: Full fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
• Management: 3 years (Required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in insurance, banking, healthcare, or other regulated industries with heavy operational demands and legacy systems.
• Experience working in or closely with M&A or post-merger integration.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code tooling (Retool, Airtable, n8n, Make, Zapier, Power Platform); capability to prototype simple solutions is a plus.
• Conceptual familiarity with AI/agents applied to business workflows, including identifying use cases and collaborating with the technical team on deployment.
