Job Description

Product Owner at Horizon Oxygen & Medical Equipment in Orange, CA (onsite) is responsible for representing end-users and stakeholders, maintaining the product backlog, and guiding development to maximize business value.

Responsibilities

  • Convey the product vision to all stakeholders to ensure alignment with goals.
  • Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, a dynamic list of features, enhancements, and fixes.
  • Write detailed user stories with acceptance criteria from the end-user perspective.
  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, users, and the development team to ensure clear requirements.
  • Collaborate with the development team to plan and sequence releases based on priorities and constraints.
  • Make informed feature decisions that align with the overall product strategy.
  • Work with quality assurance to define acceptance criteria and participate in acceptance testing.
  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder and user feedback to continuously improve the product.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to inform the roadmap.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product success and impact.
  • Create, develop, provide, or coordinate training materials and other educational resources for the system.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with development and release processes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adapt processes to boost efficiency.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and an agile mindset within the team.
  • Assume responsibility for other reasonable duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence or related software.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum principles and ceremonies, with demonstrated experience in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives within an Agile environment.
  • Extremely organized with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent management skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, motivate, and organize.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and creatively solve new problems.
  • Ability to negotiate and settle differences quickly and peacefully.
  • Ability to act as a team player.
