Job Description

Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Traditional Investment Products (TIPS) Platform Team is seeking a Product Owner (Assistant Vice President) based in New York, NY for an onsite role. In this position, you will support traditional investment offerings across the program development life cycle, with a focus on initiatives that improve the advisor and client experience while strengthening operational efficiency.

The role centers on product strategy and application reengineering for solutions including mutual funds, 529 plans, and Unit Investment Trusts. You will also contribute to digitizing historically manual processes and building technology capabilities that help reduce friction for teams and downstream operations.

What you will do

  • Support products such as mutual funds, 529 plans, and Unit Investment Trusts.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and application reengineering across Wealth Management products to improve the financial advisor/client experience and increase operational efficiency.
  • Drive efforts to digitize processes that were historically manual.
  • Develop technology that supports operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with groups across business areas such as sales, product, and operations, managing initiatives throughout the program development life cycle.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant finance industry experience (ideal candidate).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with a particular strength in Microsoft Excel.
  • Organization and strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and escalate risks.
  • Ability to critically assess processes for optimization and drive continuous improvement to underlying functions.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of the importance of accuracy and its impact on quality and downstream results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with senior management.
  • Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the mindset to think and act like an owner.
  • Efficient time management skills, including prioritizing competing urgent tasks.
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.

Compensation: USD 85,000 - 140,000 per year.
