Product Owner, Epay

OTR Solutions is seeking an execution-focused Product Owner for Epay within the Broker Services portfolio. This onsite role in Roswell, GA focuses on turning business intent into clear, testable work and helping the Epay platform deliver with consistency. You will collaborate closely with Design/UX, Engineering, QA, Operations, and stakeholders to keep delivery predictable and the backlog healthy.

Why this role

• Own day-to-day delivery for the Epay payment and audit platform, with responsibility for prioritization and readiness.
• Drive work clarity end-to-end by translating success criteria into user stories, acceptance criteria, and workflow documentation.
• Partner across teams to validate edge cases and usability before development starts, coordinate testing, and participate in release readiness.
• Build delivery confidence by identifying risks early and aligning scope, sequencing, dependencies, and constraints with the Tech Lead.

What you’ll do

• Own and maintain the Epay product backlog, prioritizing based on business value, risk, and roadmap commitments.
• Ensure refinement items entering the process are clearly defined, testable, and ready for implementation.
• Maintain backlog health, including acceptance criteria, states, permissions, loading, empty, and error conditions.
• Translate stakeholder intent and success criteria into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Document workflows, process models, and supporting materials for audit, invoicing, payment, and billing scenarios.
• Partner with Design and UX to validate workflows, edge cases, and usability before development begins.
• Lead or support backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning through timely clarification and decisions.
• Work with the Tech Lead to clarify scope, sequencing, dependencies, and technical constraints, including TMS and API integrations.
• Identify delivery risks early and drive them to resolution.
• Own business-level user acceptance testing and validate completed work against requirements prior to acceptance.
• Coordinate with QA so test scenarios cover UI behavior, end-to-end workflows, and regressions.
• Participate in release-readiness and go/no-go decisions, and help prepare release notes for internal teams and customer audiences.
• Communicate status, risks, plans, and scope changes to Product leadership, Broker Services, and Operations.
• Incorporate feedback from Support, Implementation, Analytics, and customers into backlog refinement.
• Continuously improve backlog quality, requirements practices, and delivery processes across the team.

What you bring

• 4–7 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Agile delivery, backlog management, sprint planning, user acceptance testing, requirements definition, and the software development lifecycle.
• Strong skills writing user stories and acceptance criteria, including support for UI and UX features.
• Comfort reviewing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes with an end-to-end user experience focus.
• Experience creating process models and workflow documentation.
• Familiarity with TMS platforms such as Turvo, TAI, Revenova, or McLeod and the load lifecycle processes is a must.
• Working knowledge of APIs and system integrations, with the ability to contribute to technical discussions with Engineering.
• Basic understanding of data analysis and reporting concepts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including influencing without direct authority.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or a similar backlog management platform.
• Experience with Asana or a similar project management platform.
• Experience with process-mapping tools such as Lucidchart or Miro.
• Experience with payments platforms, AP/AR solutions, FinTech products, transportation or logistics technology, broker or carrier software, or audit and payment workflow systems preferred.
• Familiarity with Aha! or Confluence is a plus.
• Proactive problem-solving with a strong sense of accountability.
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and user impact when making daily tradeoffs.
