Senior Product Owner
Job Description
Build enterprise-grade product outcomes as a Senior Product Owner on CLA’s Enterprise IT team. In this onsite role in Livingston, NJ, you will shape product vision and strategy, partner across business and technical teams, and help ensure delivery quality and timeliness through continuous discovery and Agile execution. The position includes a USD 113,000 - 170,000 yearly salary range.
What you’ll drive
You will lead product strategy and roadmap direction by aligning with business objectives and customer needs. Working closely with business owners, leadership, engineering, UX, and research, you will define and evolve the product vision and growth opportunities. You will also establish product OKRs and KPIs and use them to guide the Agile team toward outcomes that achieve and exceed targets.
Responsibilities
- Set and communicate product vision, strategy, goals, and requirements to engineering, architects, research, and UX teams.
- Develop requirements, prioritize the product backlog, and lead or participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Run continuous discovery and delivery to align and integrate feedback on product features, functionality, and user experience.
- Own the product roadmap and collaborate with the business owner to prioritize features and functions.
- Define product artifacts including the PRD, covering purpose and objectives (“what” and “why”), functional and non-functional requirements, and flow diagrams as required.
- Decompose and adapt product requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Turn learnings, user feedback, and revised business needs into opportunities backlog for discovery, research, and innovation, and into an implementation backlog for prioritized delivery.
- Discuss tradeoffs and evaluate value/ROI and impact of features and functionalities.
- Partner with the program/project manager to establish delivery milestones and dates.
- Identify and manage product risks, assumptions, and constraints to support successful execution.
- Lead and participate in Agile events including program increments (PI), sprint planning, Inspect & Adapt, demos, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Evaluate and track product performance (KPI), collect and interpret post-production feedback, investigate gaps, and draft requirements for improvements.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
- Create flows and concept sketches to communicate product vision and ideas.
- Collaborate with architecture, engineering, product design (UX), research, and QA on validation, prototyping, refinement, and solutioning.
What you bring
- 4 years of relevant experience required.
- 4+ years of product experience with a proven track record of successful product delivery preferred.
- Scrum Product Owner or Agile certification preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
