Job Description

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead Terawave’s subscriber-side user terminal hardware portfolio. This role owns the product direction, translates enterprise needs into terminal configurations, and guides regulatory, NPI, and deployment programs from concept through global scale.

What you will own

  • Own the user terminal product portfolio, defining and maintaining a multi-year roadmap aligned to Terawave enterprise service tiers and target verticals.
  • Author clear, testable hardware and software product requirements and technical specifications for Terawave engineering teams.
  • Lead new product introduction (NPI), driving terminal programs from concept through qualification testing, type approval, regulatory certification, and volume production ramp.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally across engineering, program management, supply chain, and contract manufacturers to advance terminal readiness.
  • Develop and execute a regulatory and certification strategy for each terminal tier.
  • Translate enterprise vertical needs into terminal configurations through customer discovery and competitive analysis to define differentiated terminal bundles and deployment packages.
  • Define SWaP and installation specifications for each terminal tier, covering size, weight, power, mounting, and environmental hardening while balancing RF performance with deployment constraints.
  • Build the business case for terminal investments, including pricing models, total cost of ownership analyses, and BOM cost targets for new terminal programs.
  • Partner with Terawave’s network and service product teams to align terminal capabilities with service tier commitments, SLA architectures, and network management and provisioning requirements.
  • Support sales cycles by developing terminal selection guides, qualification test plans, and technical sales collateral, and by providing product expertise for pre-sales and integration discussions with key accounts.
  • Mentor other PMs.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, RF and microwave engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 8 or more years of product management or technical program management experience.
  • Proven ownership of a hardware product across the full NPI lifecycle, including requirements definition, design validation, qualification testing, type approval, and volume production ramp.
  • Ability to author precise, testable hardware and software product requirements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including experience developing BOM cost targets, total cost of ownership models, and business case analyses for hardware programs.

Education (minimum)

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / RF and microwave engineering / systems engineering (or closely related technical field).

Preferred qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA with an engineering or technical undergraduate foundation.
  • Experience serving enterprise connectivity verticals such as maritime, aeronautical, energy and oil-and-gas, land mobility, or government and defense satcom.
  • Experience with terminal network management software, remote provisioning and monitoring systems, or embedded firmware for satellite terminals.

  • Base salary range: USD 169,347 - 237,085 per yearly (WA applicants: $169,347.00 - $237,085.80)
