Sr Principal Agile Product Owner - Network Team Lead

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Agile Product Owner to lead the Network Team supporting the C2BMC program. In this onsite role in Colorado Springs, you will coordinate planning and engineering execution while driving Agile product ownership practices to develop technical capabilities integrated into the C2BMC Network Enterprise.

The C2BMC program helps senior leaders plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems. You will serve as a network team leadership point of contact and an accountable leader for engineering, technical delivery, and program cost and schedule performance for assigned capabilities.

What you will do

• Lead an agile network engineering team responsible for development and integration of technical capabilities into the C2BMC Network Enterprise
• Coordinate planning, organization, and execution of engineering activities aligned with program contractual agreements and customer requirements
• Provide technical leadership across cost, schedule, and performance for assigned capabilities and associated ECPs
• Act as the primary technical interface and customer contact for significant network-related technical matters
• Apply advanced technical expertise to resolve complex, multi-disciplinary problems that require creativity and innovation
• Plan and lead team Agile ceremonies and other planning activities to maintain clear priorities, work maturity, and alignment across the Agile Release Train
• Review technical artifacts, designs, and implementation approaches for compliance with engineering principles, company and program standards, customer requirements, and related specifications
• Develop and provide standard metrics and status reporting for program execution, technical improvement, and management and customer updates
• Manage risk and opportunity, including risk mitigation plan development and execution, schedule planning, and change request management
• Coordinate and resolve resource conflicts across multiple spirals, capabilities, and ARTs
• Maintain and continuously update the team’s Hive structure and related tracking tools daily
• Support documentation development, technical exchange meetings with stakeholders, test events, and capability deployments
• Support program management of strategic technical projects and problem solving to support the program’s business rhythm
• Perform other duties as assigned to support C2BMC program and network enterprise objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field plus 8 years of experience; or Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience as an alternative to a degree
• Current, active Government-Issued 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher at the time of application (examples include Security+ CE, CISSP, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND, etc.). You are responsible for maintaining 8140 certifications throughout the contract period
• Current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application (required to start)
• Active project management certification such as Project+, CAPM, or PMP, or ability to obtain within 60 days of start
• Prior experience as an Information Technology Engineer, preferably in network or infrastructure engineering
• Proven project management experience as part of large DoD systems and capabilities under development
• Experience managing and reporting cost, schedule, and technical development on a large program, including coordinating planning, execution, integration, and completion within an assigned area of responsibility
• Experience planning, conducting, and coordinating documentation development, technical exchange meetings, test events, and capability deployments
• Experience managing the design, development, and implementation of complex systems
• Experience with Agile methodology and/or Agile Product Owner practices, including experience supporting Digital Transformation and DevOps implementation
• Ability to analyze project, program, and portfolio information needs and determine resources required to achieve objectives
• Ability to understand both long-term (“big picture”) and short-term perspectives of program needs
• Demonstrated experience leading high-performance technical teams, including mentoring, coaching, and performance oversight
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills, including interfacing with customers, program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Ability to travel to alternate work locations as required

Compensation and location

• Salary range: USD 129,300 to 193,900 per year

• C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate current and future missile defense system capabilities

Preferred qualifications

• Prior C2BMC experience and familiarity with C2BMC NT/BC processes and procedures
• Prior Team Lead and/or Product Owner experience leading Agile teams or technical capabilities
• Experience developing key performance indicators (KPIs), tracking other metrics, and creating reports for program and customer insight
• Ability to quickly comprehend new and emerging technologies and apply them with complex networked systems
