UX Research Manager, Digital UX & Design
Job Description
Starbucks is seeking a UX research manager for Digital UX & Design to lead research and insight delivery that improves decision-making across customer and partner experiences. This role manages a team and drives generative and evaluative research across Starbucks’ global digital ecosystem.

Compensation
USD 146,300 - 243,900 per year
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a diverse and inclusive team of UX researchers focused on customer and partner digital products
- Oversee generative and evaluative research across multiple product portfolios and initiatives
- Partner with coffeehouse operations leads, designers, product managers, and engineers to shape research approach and strategy
- Advocate for customers and partners by sharing evidence of user needs with the digital team, operations partners, and other stakeholders
- Ensure research findings are clear, timely, and actionable for decision-makers
- Drive continuous improvement in research operations, tooling, and workflows through hands-on action
- Coach and uplevel researchers on methodology, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement
- Co-create and support the broader research strategy under the Director of Research & Strategy

Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of UX research experience, including empathetic people management and mentorship
- Strong grounding in both evaluative and generative research methods, with the ability to troubleshoot and refine approaches
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong communication and synthesis skills
- Preferred experience in retail, eCommerce, hospitality, and food & beverage
- Preferred experience with design-led, human-centric design focused organizations
- Ideal experience supporting testing for operation or production-line focused experiences and tools
- Preferred experience with agency and vendor partnership models, including accelerating testing with external collaborators and temporary staff
