ACON Laboratories invites an onsite, full-time Associate Product Manager to join our San Diego team. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide the product development lifecycle from concept to launch
- Perform market research to identify trends and the needs of target customers
- Contribute to product specification documents detailing revisions of existing products and ideas for new products
- Assist with packaging and labeling development for products within the assigned business segment and coordinate with packaging staff
- Proofread and edit product inserts, user manuals, sell sheets, brochures, and presentations for accuracy
- Provide product launch training and support materials for colleagues and customers
- Support Downstream Marketing with promotional activities such as press releases, advertisements, sales tools, and website content
- Collaborate on continuous product improvement through market surveillance, competitor analysis, and review of product complaint trends
- Develop strategies for competitive positioning to drive sales and promotions
- Serve as a constructive liaison between departments to gather customer feedback and share status updates on product development
- Assist with new product requests and other business initiatives as assigned

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or another life science field
- Minimum of 2 years in an Associate Product Manager role within a regulated industry (medical devices or pharmaceuticals)
- 1 year of experience in the IVD industry is required
- 1 year of experience in technical sales is required
- Technical or scientific background with 1–2 years in R&D, or 1–2 years in sales or research; experience in the IVD industry is a plus
- Ability to learn and assess new technology quickly
- Strong reading, interpretation, and analytical skills for business and technical materials
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Self-starter who works well independently and is detail oriented
- Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
