Associate Product Manager - Lubrication

Exotic Automation & Supply is hiring an Associate Product Manager - Lubrication in New Hudson, MI (onsite). This role is designed to help you ramp quickly on the lubrication product line, collaborate closely with Product Managers and customer-facing teams, and develop toward a full Product Manager position.

You will learn the business from both a product and customer perspective, working with sales calls, proposal support, supplier partners, and the planning that shapes product and growth priorities.

What you will do

• Develop a deep understanding of the lubrication product line.
• Complete manufacturer and supplier training and earn required certifications.
• Build capability to size, specify, and recommend products and systems for customer applications.
• Support customer engagement by getting in front of customers and addressing product needs.
• Join Product Managers, Account Managers, and factory representatives on sales calls.
• Answer product questions, help build customer proposals, and support field applications and system designs.
• Shape product strategy and contribute to planning for sales and growth.
• Help plan sales strategy by gathering data for forecasts, researching new technologies, and monitoring competition.
• Work with suppliers to support day-to-day needs and longer-term initiatives.
• Build strong supplier relationships and support contracts, inventory analysis, rebate programs, and special supplier programs.
• Drive promotions and growth through sales promotion planning, new customer targeting, and representation at trade shows and open houses.
• Share knowledge as your expertise grows by training internal teams through Exotic University and supporting marketing material creation.
• Improve how the organization works by reporting findings on products and projects and recommending process improvements that enhance service, quality, and profitability.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (2 years of sales-related or technical experience may be substituted).
• 1+ year in a sales, technical, or customer-facing role.
• Industrial or distribution experience is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how technical products work.
• Comfort with computers.
• CRM experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Organized and self-motivated with the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to support customers outside normal hours when needed, including 24-hour support coverage.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle that seats four adults comfortably.

Compensation and eligibility

• Salary: USD 60,000 - 65,000 per year
• Product Manager Bonus Plan eligibility once training is complete

Work environment

This position operates in a normal business office and industrial environment with regular exposure (up to 100% of work time) to noise, dust, office equipment, machinery, equipment, and supplies.
