AVP Product Manager

The AVP Product Manager role at Bank OZK is a cross-functional position focused on building software solutions. You will oversee agile product development execution, convert business inputs into actionable product work, and support teams through planning, release, and post-release improvement.

Role Summary

As an AVP Product Manager, you serve as a key contributor within a cross-functional product development team. The role emphasizes managing agile workflows, maintaining a clear roadmap and backlog, partnering with delivery and release stakeholders, and translating customer signals into enhancement opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage prioritization of development work and drive day-to-day execution of the product development team using agile methodologies.
• Act as a communication hub across the product development team to support alignment and clarity among functions.
• Develop business requirements with input from product stakeholders and translate them into functional user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Collect user feedback, evaluate enhancement requests, and use insights to continuously improve products.
• Own the product roadmap and backlog for assigned products.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Quality Assurance, and Release Management teams to support smooth, well-documented releases.
• Provide post-development support by monitoring product performance and user adoption trends, then converting issues and pain points into actionable enhancements.

Requirements

• Knowledge of agile project methodologies, stakeholder management, feature writing, and requirements definition.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats.
• Ability to incorporate user feedback to manage product roadmaps and adapt or develop products to meet client needs.
• Capability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with exacting deadlines while delivering quality work on time.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Strong collaboration and partnership skills, including customer service skills.
• Professional approach with initiative, self-motivation, and a team-player mindset.
• Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a job-related field (or equivalent work experience), required.
• 4+ years of relevant product management or banking work experience, required.
• 2+ years of experience in an agile product development environment, preferred.
