Associate Product Manager
Job Description
Rho is building banking products where trust matters in every interaction, from money movement to card outcomes and payment settlement. As an Associate Product Manager, you join a senior PM’s team and take ownership of a defined part of a regulated product end to end, with an emphasis on shipping quickly to real customers.
You will frame the problem, specify and build the solution, measure impact, and use data and AI to decide what to do next. The work is collaborative and hands-on, with frequent partnership across Design and Engineering and early alignment with Compliance and Operations.
What you’ll do
- Own a feature area end to end.
- Frame the problem, write the spec, ship it, and measure what changed.
- When the data points to a better direction, bring a recommendation beyond the numbers.
- Build with Design and Engineering every day, from the first sketch through launch.
- Write specs engineers want to read.
- Provide clear feedback on flows and edge cases.
- Unblock the team fast and run launches end to end.
- Bring Compliance and Operations in early so they do not block the launch late.
- Talk to founders and finance teams every week.
- Read support tickets, bring that knowledge back to the team, and incorporate what you learn into product decisions.
- Define success before you build, pull your own data, and report clearly what worked and what did not.
- Use frontier models to test ideas, build prototypes, analyze customer feedback, and draft specs.
What you bring
- 1 to 3 years of experience in product, engineering, data, consulting, banking, at a startup, or in a customer facing role, or experience starting something of your own.
- Analytical mindset and strong comfort with SQL, spreadsheets, and numbers, including checking your own work.
- Knowledge of ACH, card networks, KYC/KYB, or reconciliation is a plus.
- Use AI every day and be able to show something you built with it.
- Clear writing and the ability to explain a complex problem in one page.
- Comfort taking feedback well and acting on it fast.
- Ownership in day-to-day delivery, including fixing what is broken or finding the right person when it is not.
- Nice to have: technical background or coding experience, work at a bank or fintech, or startup experience.

Mentorship, growth, and compensation

- Direct exposure to product reviews with leadership.
- A clear path to Product Manager.
- Target compensation range: $133,000 - $160,000 per year.
- Compensation determined by leveling and performance throughout the interview process.
- In addition to base pay, Rho offers equity, comprehensive healthcare benefits, and paid time off.
Role context: Rho Product Managers operate like owners of their surface. The APM role is designed to develop the next ones, starting with a defined portion of a banking product and aiming for full PM ownership over an 18 month horizon. You will learn how regulated financial products work from the inside and build products that customers trust with their money.
