CBMS/PEAK User Experience (UX) Research Analyst
Job Description
The State of Colorado invites you to join the CoBEES team as the CBMS/PEAK UX Research Analyst. This hybrid role in Denver, CO centers on elevating usability and accessibility for Colorado's CBMS and PEAK systems through end-to-end UX research. You will translate research findings into user-centered product direction for the Health Care Policy and Financing team, ensuring that nascending features align with user needs and business goals.

Responsibilities
- Own the full customer and user research process from ideation through interview design, execution, and data synthesis.
- Apply a human-centered design approach to deliver intuitive user interfaces and compelling user experiences.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to capture and define requirements that guide product direction.
- Research customers, competitors, and products with a focus on accessibility standards.
- Develop personas, scenarios, and user stories to inform design decisions.
- Research and develop user profiles to support nuanced insights.
- Sketch, prototype, and conduct user testing before handing designs to development contractors.
- Utilize qualitative research methods to generate actionable findings.
- Ensure products are tested with users and validated against business goals and applicable federal and state guidance for eligibility and enrollment.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, surveys, focus groups, and end-to-end prototype testing.
- Represent the user voice within the product team to align releases with research insights and organizational goals.
- Develop and own a UX research roadmap for continuous improvement.
- Communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences, including governance committees, CoBEES leaders, and stakeholders across OIT, HCPF, JAI, CDHS, and counties.
- Provide staff-level direction to HCPC, CoBEES, JAI, CDHS, OIT, and county leadership regarding self-service portal experiences and related strategies.
- Offer strategic guidance and support for user experience research within the PEAK team.
- Other duties as assigned.
