Lead Product Operations Manager (Data)
Job Description
DailyPay is building for operational excellence across its R&D organization, and the Product Operations Lead for Data plays a central role in making that happen. This onsite position in New York, NY supports the Data squad alongside the Senior Director of Data Science, helping scale machine learning model launches and updates, strengthen AI-powered feature delivery across vertical squads, and improve experimentation tooling and performance measurement. You will also partner closely with Finance and Data Analytics to align KPIs across the Product organization and ensure teams have the dashboards and reporting they need.
Compensation: $136,000 - $209,000 per year. Experience: 6+ years.
What you will do
- Identify and analyze moderately complex friction points across the product lifecycle, from discovery through launch, and propose practical solutions.
- Streamline operational workflows and maintain process hygiene across squads to support consistent delivery velocity and alignment.
- Build effective cross-functional relationships across Product, Engineering, Design, and other stakeholders to drive execution and keep expectations clear.
- Ensure the right contributors and cross-functional stakeholders are engaged at the right time, with aligned expectations.
- Support continuous monitoring of KPIs and OKRs, translating performance signals into data-driven insights for operational decision-making.
- Guide your assigned team in turning metrics and performance trends into actionable guidance that improves how squads operate.
- Help manage the product tech stack by overseeing roadmapping and collaboration tooling to keep it optimized for team usage.
- Assist with quarterly planning and align team efforts with broader business strategy.
Key focus areas
- Scale and update machine learning models, and support agentic, predictive, conversational, and assistive AI-powered features across multiple vertical squads.
- Improve A/B experimentation tooling and best practices across multiple functions.
- Ensure performance visibility through intuitive and accurate dashboards and reports, while helping maintain clean data and strong operational hygiene.
- Bridge technical execution and strategic planning across product, engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders.
What you bring
- 6β10 years in product operations, business operations, or program management.
- Proven success supporting a large, complex cross-functional group in a Product Operations and/or Program Management role.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills, first-principles thinking, and the ability to proactively resolve conflicts, mitigate risks, and remove impediments independently.
- Ability to present clearly and effectively to diverse audiences, including cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Comfort building a solid understanding of the business and product strategies.
- Familiarity with project methodologies and a growing familiarity with financial principles related to product/project delivery.
- Experience defining KPIs aligned to team strategies and partnering with data analysts to support dashboards for transparency, monitoring, and action.
