Job Description

Power electronics product management role at Calnetix Technologies, LLC, focused on strategy, lifecycle management, and market engagement for a power electronics product line in B2B and defense sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of assigned power electronics products from concept through development, production, sustainment, and end of life.
  • Develop and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with market needs, customer requirements, and company objectives.
  • Craft product positioning, value propositions, and differentiators for both B2B and defense markets.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and market dynamics to keep the portfolio competitive in performance, cost, reliability, and compliance; feed insights into roadmap decisions.
  • Track emerging technologies and industry trends in areas such as power semiconductors, control techniques, thermal solutions, and manufacturing processes; assess applicability to current and future products.
  • Serve as the primary interface with customers, including defense primes, system integrators, and industrial OEMs.
  • Gather and translate customer and program requirements into clear product and engineering specifications.
  • Support sales activities by participating in customer meetings, technical reviews, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Identify new market opportunities and contribute to pipeline growth through customer engagement and market analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering on architecture trade-offs, feature prioritization, and technical feasibility.
  • Lead or participate in technical program management activities, including schedule, risk, cost, operations, and supply chain management.
  • Ensure products meet performance, quality, and reliability requirements, including defense-specific standards where applicable.
  • Own contract execution and compliance, ensuring development and delivery align with contractual scope, schedules, deliverables, and regulatory standards; manage scope changes and risks with contract management, legal, and leadership.
  • Lead or contribute to technical proposals, including requirements responses, compliance matrices, and technical volumes.
  • Support pricing strategies, cost models, and margin analysis.
  • Participate in customer negotiations to move contracts toward award and closure.
  • Support bid/no-bid decisions with technical, market, and financial input.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or technical program management for hardware products.
  • Hands-on electronics experience, with preference for expertise in Power electronics, motor controllers or drives, and embedded or electromechanical systems.
  • Strong background in B2B product strategy and developing customer requirements.
  • Proven experience working directly with customers in technical discussions and providing commercial support.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing new product introduction processes for power electronics.
  • Experience in defense, aerospace, or other regulated industries.
  • Ability to write clear, compelling technical proposals and customer-facing documentation.
  • Comfort collaborating across engineering, operations, supply chain, sales, and executive leadership.
  • Willingness to travel for customer visits, industry events, and trade shows.
  • Experience owning or supporting P&L, cost management, or product-line financial performance.
  • Prior experience as a Technical Program Manager or a role combining program execution with product ownership.
  • Familiarity with defense acquisition processes, RFP/RFQ responses, and long-cycle B2B sales.
  • Experience supporting or coordinating with sales and business development teams.

Pay

  • $165,000 - $200,000 USD per year
