Job Description

Cognetive Systems Inc seeks a Product Manager to shape product strategy, steer development, and deliver customer focused software across ArborNote's growing Green and Field Services portfolio. The role is based in Irvine, CA with a hybrid work arrangement and offers a yearly compensation range of USD 120,000 to 145,000.

The Opportunity

ArborNote stands as an innovation leader in commercial Tree Care software and is expanding into adjacent Green and Field Services markets. This position offers the chance to design products that address real operational challenges for contractors, from field opportunities and professional proposals to streamlined workflows that support business growth. While early priorities support expansion into Landscape Maintenance, the scope is intentionally broader to serve multiple segments within Green and Field Services as ArborNote grows.

The Role

As Product Manager, you will help define product strategy, prioritize development, and guide execution across ArborNote’s expanding product portfolio. You will collaborate directly with customers, engineering, marketing, sales, and executive leadership to convert real-world challenges into intuitive, scalable software solutions. Your focus will include refining the product vision, prioritizing opportunities, and delivering improvements that create measurable value for a growing customer base. Success in this role is assessed by customer adoption and satisfaction, tangible business impact, product market alignment, timely delivery, and disciplined prioritization. This is an ownership role, not a feature factory.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, and apply practical improvements to workflows and decision making
  • Conduct customer interviews and field research
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer operations and workflows
  • Translate real world challenges into intuitive product experiences
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Engineering and Design throughout the product lifecycle
  • Write clear, developer ready product requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Define success metrics before development begins
  • Measure results and continuously improve products based on feedback and data

Who You Are

  • 2–4+ years of Product Management experience in SaaS
  • Experience in field-service, contractor, construction, operational software, or another vertical SaaS is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Proven ability to ship products or features with measurable business value
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working directly with customers
  • Structured thinker capable of simplifying complex workflows
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies, industries, and customer workflows
  • Ability to identify practical opportunities where emerging technologies, including AI, can improve workflows and decision making
  • Practical mindset that emphasizes solving real customer problems with technology
  • Comfortable operating in a collaborative, fast moving environment
