Sr. Product Manager
Job Description
Safe-Guard Products International LLC administers protection products that dealerships sell in the finance office for most major automotive brands in North America. The software supports quoting and selling contracts, processing remittances and reporting, managing claims, and enabling consumers to purchase products directly from automotive brands. This role helps build a product management function that runs this portfolio with clear ownership, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes, while partnering with delivery teams who focus on execution.
As a Sr. Product Manager in Atlanta, GA (hybrid; onsite Monday to Thursday), you will own 2 to 3 client-facing products end to end. Your work will connect business strategy, dealer and OEM needs, competitive pressures, and technology capabilities, translating those signals into priorities, requirements, sequencing, and success metrics.
What you’ll do
- Own a set of client-facing products end to end, from defining the roadmap to measuring results.
- Own two to three products, including users, workflows, integrations, dependencies, limitations, and business value.
- Act as the primary business point of contact for product questions and decisions related to your products.
- Develop, defend, and adjust roadmaps as new information becomes available, including determining which initiatives to defer.
- Translate senior leadership priorities into actionable product priorities using customer value, business impact, effort, risk, and dependencies.
- Engage directly with dealers and OEM partners to observe real usage, understand needs, and convert insights into product requirements and improvements.
- Establish product intent, align on acceptance criteria, and determine when deliverables are ready.
- Work with a dedicated development pod aligned to your products.
- Maintain enough delivery visibility to identify potential risks early, while engineering retains responsibility for architecture, security, and implementation decisions.
- Drive measurable outcomes including adoption, usage, revenue, and cost to serve, defining success metrics before development begins.
- Evaluate existing products and platforms to determine what should be consolidated, modernized, or retired, and develop the business case for those decisions.
Collaboration and how work gets visibility
Safe-Guard uses a centralized intake process and prioritization forum to evaluate requests against established criteria for consistent decision-making. Roadmaps, requirements, and status updates are maintained in Asana to provide visibility, accountability, and alignment on committed work. Development resides within IT with capacity dedicated to product initiatives and protected from reassignment.
The organization is also moving toward agent-led delivery alongside the technology organization, with product managers providing human oversight and approval of agent-produced work. Product managers are expected to spend time in the field regularly, working directly with dealers and OEM partners.
What you bring
- 7+ years in product management, including at least 3 years owning a B2B, platform, or workflow product end to end.
- A track record of shipping software that people adopted, with the ability to explain what did not work as clearly as what did.
- Comfort working through technical detail and integration questions with engineers without being the engineer.
- Direct customer discovery experience, including sitting with users in their environment rather than relying only on research summaries.
- Fluency with data: define metrics, retrieve numbers directly, and adjust decisions when results differ from expectations.
- Credibility with executives, including the ability to defend recommendations to senior leadership.
- Practical understanding of AI in two areas: what changes in the customer-facing product and what changes in build speed.
