Product Manager
Job Description
The Product Manager at Peak6 will help shape the tools, platforms, and systems that support the trading desk. This role blends strategic product thinking with hands-on execution, with the goal of improving performance, efficiency, and innovation through iterative delivery and new product development.
Role Focus
Develop and advance products for mission-critical, time-sensitive trading workflows. The position balances ongoing enhancement of existing offerings with the design of new solutions, anchored in user needs and measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product roadmaps for trading tools, maintaining support for existing products while introducing new innovations.
- Collaborate directly with trading and engineering teams to uncover pain points, define requirements, and deliver solutions that create business value.
- Own and communicate product vision, including priorities, strategy, and status updates across the organization.
- Define user stories, map user flows, maintain a shovel-ready backlog, and establish clear acceptance criteria.
- Build partnerships with trading teams and internal venture initiatives to surface new ideas and coordinate cross-team solutions.
- Define and communicate product metrics, conduct usability testing, and use data to continuously improve product fit and impact.
- Support product consistency by maintaining documentation and best practices across both new and legacy product lines.
Requirements
- 2-4+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech.
- Direct experience working with agile teams to take products from vision through execution.
- Proven record building and iterating on user-centric, mission-critical applications in time-sensitive environments.
- Strong ability to build deep partnerships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Effective communication, documentation, and relationship management skills.
- Analytical mindset, including comfort working with data, defining KPIs, and evaluating product success and failure during lifecycles.
- Adaptability and bias for action, with the ability to work in ambiguity, move at speed, and deliver results in dynamic conditions.

Compensation and Location
Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid)
Base Salary Range: USD $92,000 to $115,000 per year
Minimum Experience: 2 years
