Product Manager

KPJ Group is seeking a Product Manager based in Illinois with remote flexibility to lead strategic growth and new product development across industrial safety solutions. This role owns an established portfolio and also identifies, prices, and commercializes new offerings, with a focus on lithium-ion battery storage and fire containment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage a portfolio of metal cabinets, enclosures, and related industrial safety products.
• Drive strategic growth in the lithium-ion battery safety market.
• Identify opportunities for new products, applications, and market development.
• Contribute to the development of the lithium-ion offering, including charging enclosures and fire-response products.
• Lead product strategy from market opportunity through development and commercialization.
• Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to surface future product opportunities.
• Work directly with customers and end users to understand applications, challenges, and unmet needs.
• Manage pricing strategy across the existing product portfolio.
• Drive demand and commercial performance for established product ranges.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing throughout the product-development process.
• Support product positioning, launches, and go-to-market activities.
• Work with distributors serving markets including industrial, pharmaceutical, and construction.
• Visit manufacturing facilities, customers, and industry trade shows when required.

Required Qualifications

• Previous experience in Product Management within a technical, industrial, or engineered product environment.
• Experience working with metal products, cabinets, enclosures, fabricated products, or comparable industrial equipment.
• Strong track record developing and executing product growth strategies.
• Experience with new product development and commercialization.
• Commercial understanding of pricing, market positioning, and product performance.
• Experience conducting customer, market, and competitor research.
• Confidence collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: USD 150,000 to 155,000 per year.

• $150,000 per year + up to 15% annual bonus
