Job Description

Now Optics invests in the systems and experiences that help its retail and ecommerce teams move faster, launch reliably, and improve continuously. In this role, you will own the POS and ecommerce product backlog and roadmap, translating commercial priorities into initiatives, aligning stakeholders with IT execution, and ensuring launches are ready from both the business and delivery perspectives.

What you’ll do

  • Maintain the POS/ecomm product roadmap in alignment with the Sr. Director’s commercial and growth goals.
  • Bring customer and associate insights into prioritization, working with the Sr. UX/UI Designer on research and feedback.
  • Draft and maintain the POS/ecomm backlog, including proposed prioritization for Sr. Director approval.
  • Refine backlog items with BA, BRM, and IT development teams to keep delivery grounded in the business case.
  • Review and approve acceptance criteria created by the BRM against the business case.
  • Recommend trade-offs and scope adjustments when priorities conflict, including deferring features within a BRD to a later release.
  • Partner with IT to draft sprint goals, then participate in sprint reviews and accept completed work based on business case and acceptance criteria.
  • Create initiative briefs that include the business case (why this, why now, expected outcome) plus a clear problem statement.
  • Flag D365 and VCS dependencies early in initiative briefs so the VCS & D365 BA is engaged before BRD work begins.
  • Review BRDs authored by the BA, checking alignment to the business case and flagging gaps or concerns.
  • Define success metrics per initiative, track outcomes post-launch, and report results to the Sr. Director and sponsors.
  • Run weekly or biweekly priority meetings, structured so D365-dependent and non-dependent groups meet separately, and drive each session to agreement on upcoming priorities.
  • Support alignment with ecommerce and brand sponsors, preparing materials and follow-ups.
  • Support D365 finance and operations discussions by confirming proposed solutions align to the business case.
  • For D365/VCS-dependent initiatives, ensure POS/ecomm-side requirements are defined by the POS/ecomm BA and collaborate with the dedicated VCS & D365 BA on shared tickets.
  • Operate within a fixed two-week sprint calendar, track deployment timing and cross-team readiness with IT dev and the Scrum Master, and own the business view of each release.
  • Confirm IT QA sign-off before business UAT, flag production-breaking releases, and recommend rollback as needed.
  • Coordinate joint decisions with PO and IT dev lead on final release calls, with escalation to the Sr. Director if there is disagreement.
  • Review ecommerce storefront uptime, performance, and page-speed reporting; escalate degradation and prioritize performance work with the digital team.
  • Own the vendor relationship for ADA accessibility compliance, using vendor findings to identify website updates and prioritize backlog work.
  • Coordinate with the Sr. UX/UI Designer to apply design standards that prevent and resolve accessibility issues; note that compliance risk decisions are made by the Sr. Director of Growth Initiatives.
  • Own product-level relationships with Unbxd and FittingBox, manage roadmap and configuration priorities, and perform their day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Coordinate launch handoff communications to affected business departments.
  • Send recurring status recaps to the company and leadership covering what is in motion and what shipped recently, with the recap serving as informational only and not a feedback or priority-change channel.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of product ownership, product management, or a closely related role, ideally in ecommerce or retail.
  • Experience working with agile delivery teams, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
  • Ability to write business cases and problem statements and defend prioritization to senior stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of release management and UAT processes.
  • Strong written communication and facilitation skills for multi-stakeholder meetings.
  • Preferred: exposure to ERP environments such as D365, retail POS systems, accessibility compliance (WCAG/ADA), or ecommerce platforms and martech tools.
  • Preferred: experience with ADO or similar work-tracking tools.
