Product Manager - Chain

Product Manager for the Chain product line oversees pricing, inventory management, and overall strategy with cross-functional collaboration and up to 40% travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop a thorough technical understanding of the product line
• Monitor competitors and market dynamics, aligning with PEER's long term strategy
• Advocate the PEER brand to the sales team to sustain motivation and drive
• Lead development and evaluation of industry products to grow profitability
• Capture market requirements to position the product line as best in class
• Assist engineering and manufacturing in setting specifications and tolerances for standard products
• Partner with Engineering to deliver product training for frontline colleagues
• Collaborate with Inventory Control and Production to meet changing industry requirements efficiently
• Serve as the bridge between Manufacturing Plants and Sales Organizations
• Promote the product line by partnering with Marketing to develop sales tools and literature
• Coordinate with Sales, Engineering, QA, and Manufacturing to ensure customer demands are met
• Perform miscellaneous duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

• Formal mechanical engineering background
• Proven experience in the chain industry
• Minimum of 5 years in Product Management, Application Sales/Engineering, or Manufacturing
• Experience with metalworking, machining, and manufacturing processes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated success leading teams and developing people
• Strong technical foundation
• Skilled in mathematics and data analysis
• Ability to work with multinational teams
• Confidence speaking with customers when needed
• Strong presentation abilities
• Organized and detail oriented
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset
• Ability to travel 30 to 40 percent domestically and internationally
• Motivated with a desire to learn and grow within the organization
• Able to work onsite when not traveling
