Product Manager, Financing & Rewards

Own Wayfair’s customer financing experience across the full funnel, coordinating with internal teams and third-party providers to deliver eligibility, messaging, and measurement end to end.

Responsibilities

• Own the product plan for financing: translate business goals into a roadmap, clear requirements, and buildable epics; sequence work and keep delivery moving.
• Build portfolio capabilities instead of partner-by-partner: develop shared eligibility, offer presentation, routing, and messaging so adding a new financing partner does not restart the work.
• Identify where a partner is genuinely differentiated and decide when to build directly for those capabilities.
• Target the right provider and offer to the right customer: determine who sees which financing option and which offer; partner with Data Science on eligibility signals, prequalification targeting, and personalized purchase power.
• Own the full-funnel experience: build affordability awareness in the upper funnel, run targeted prequalification in the middle, and deliver a clear, trustworthy tender experience in cart and checkout.
• Run financing messaging and promotions: own everyday monthly pricing and terms messaging across surfaces, deliver special promotional financing campaigns, and improve the campaign toolkit over time.
• Partner across the portfolio with Credit Card, Rewards, and Payments teams so customer experiences are coherent across products.
• Manage the partner relationship day to day: act as the product counterpart to third-party financing providers; convert program mechanics and contractual commitments into requirements and keep integrations healthy.
• Get edge cases and constraints right: collaborate with Legal and Compliance to ensure disclosures, terms, and promotional claims are accurate wherever they appear.
• Measure and iterate: define success metrics; track financing attach and approval rates and their impact on conversion and order value; run structured experiments with Data Science.
• Keep stakeholders and partners current: run product forums, incorporate partner feedback, and update stakeholders appropriately for each audience.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in consumer fintech, payments, lending, or e-commerce checkout.
• Comfortable owning a product plan and requirements tied to outcomes; execute autonomously once goals are defined.
• Experience working with third-party integrations or vendors, with understanding that the partner relationship is part of the product, not just procurement.
• Detail-oriented: identify edge cases, missing disclosures, and unplanned states, and follow through to resolution.
• Analytical: work directly with data to size opportunities, diagnose problems, and interpret test results honestly.
• Technical fluency to partner effectively with engineers on system behavior (no coding required, but able to contribute to technical discussions).
• Clear communication and fast credibility building with engineering, design, and business partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
