Digital Banking Product Manager
Job Description
Fairwinds Credit Union is hiring a Digital Banking Product Manager to help shape the member and business digital banking experience in Orlando, FL (onsite). In this role, you will own the prioritized roadmap and backlog for consumer and business digital banking improvements, working alongside teams across the organization and a digital banking platform vendor to define requirements, measure outcomes, and drive successful releases. If you value a purpose-driven, people-first culture and a meaningful rewards package, this position aligns with both the work and the way Fairwinds supports your growth.
What you’ll do
- Own and maintain a single prioritized backlog for both consumer and business digital banking, including clear communication on what is prioritized, why it matters, and what is not moving forward.
- Translate member and business needs into clear business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that can be configured and tested without additional interpretation.
- Chair the digital banking intake and prioritization process, helping separate true platform defects from enhancements and training opportunities.
- Maintain a two- to four-quarter digital banking roadmap aligned to broader digital strategy and delivery capacity.
- Partner directly with the digital banking platform vendor by reviewing product roadmaps and release notes, evaluating new functionality, submitting enhancement requests, and representing Fairwinds in vendor user groups and advisory forums.
- Evaluate completed work against documented acceptance criteria and approve release scope prior to implementation.
- Define success measures for material digital banking changes before they are built and work with the Digital Banking Performance Analyst to understand whether changes delivered intended results.
- Conduct journey mapping and gather voice-of-member insights through surveys, focus sessions, and input from member-facing crewmembers.
- Partner with Compliance, Information Security, and Legal to ensure requirements include regulatory, disclosure, security, and accessibility expectations, including Regulation E and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility criteria.
- Develop business cases for custom development, including when vendor APIs or software development kits may be used, and move approved requests through the enterprise application development process.
- Maintain product documentation, including requirements, decision logs, and release notes.
- Serve as a key requirements decision-maker during platform conversions and participate in design, testing, and readiness activities.
- Escalate significant risks, unresolved defects, or delivery concerns with clear explanations of impact and a recommended path forward.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information systems, or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in digital product management, business analysis, digital channel management, or a similar role within financial services.
- Experience owning and prioritizing a product backlog, including moving platform changes through requirements, testing, and release.
- Direct experience working with a technology vendor on product roadmaps, enhancements, releases, or platform capabilities.
- Understanding of consumer and business digital banking capabilities such as online and mobile banking, digital account opening, bill pay, person-to-person payments, remote deposit, funds transfers, wires, ACH origination, entitlements, and cash management.
- Ability to write requirements and acceptance criteria that hold up during testing.
- Comfort using data such as adoption, funnel performance, usage, and support volume to guide product decisions.
- Confidence making prioritization decisions and explaining the reasoning, including when that means saying “not now” to competing requests.
- Clear communication across executives, technical teams, business partners, and member-facing crewmembers.
- Collaborative, organized, curious, and able to balance member experience, business priorities, regulatory requirements, and technology constraints.
Benefits

- 6% 401(k) match
- $700 annual contribution to your Health Savings Account
- Comprehensive maternity leave program
- Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
