Job Description

FFF Enterprises seeks an experienced Business Analyst and proxy Product Owner to support the Data Platform & Analytics team. The role combines business analysis, light product ownership, and Agile facilitation to help deliver enterprise data products and platform capabilities while translating business goals into executable requirements.

Role Overview

Working at the intersection of business needs and technical delivery, you will define requirements, prioritize work, and coordinate validation to ensure data initiatives meet intended outcomes. You will also support adoption and maturity for a modern cloud-native data platform through enablement and change support activities.

Location

  • Flower Mound, TX (onsite)

Compensation

  • USD 120,000 - 150,000 per year

Responsibilities

  • Engage business users, data engineers, architects, and BI developers to gather, define, and refine detailed business and technical requirements across initiatives.
  • Translate complex business problems into scalable data solutions, including ingestion pipelines, curated data layers, and reporting or analytical models.
  • Act as a proxy Product Owner by defining product scope, writing epics and user stories, and prioritizing features based on stakeholder impact and technical feasibility.
  • Facilitate Scrum processes as a Scrum Master or Agile Lead, including sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives), tracking team velocity, and managing work in Jira or Azure DevOps.
  • Lead discovery and requirements workshops with stakeholders across areas such as finance, operations, supply chain, commercial, and other enterprise functions.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including process flows, source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and user training materials.
  • Coordinate UAT and validation activities through data testing and QA to confirm deliverables meet business intent.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot data issues using SQL and reporting tools to support quality assurance and root cause analysis.
  • Support platform adoption and maturity through change management activities and self-service enablement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with platform leadership on roadmap planning, backlog grooming, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Follow company policies and procedures and comply with applicable Federal and State regulations and laws.

  • Demonstrate dedication to learning, improving effectiveness, and sharing knowledge with others.

  • Comply with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program by working safely and immediately reporting injuries, safety hazards, or program violations.
  • Ensure conduct is consistent with Compliance Program Policies and immediately report concerns or violations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or hybrid BA/PM in data engineering, analytics, or an enterprise platform (or eleven (11) years for non-degreed candidates).
  • Experience acting as a Product Owner or closely partnering with product managers and delivery teams to ship platform features or data capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Databricks and modern ELT/ETL practices in a cloud-native environment.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for data exploration, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Fivetran, dbt, Azure Data Factory, or other data pipeline tools.
  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working with source system data from platforms like SAP, Salesforce, or Workday, including awareness of upstream business processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills to lead meetings and align cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with strong organization, attention to detail, and a bias toward action.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in fast-paced delivery environments.

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study, or four (4) years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience managing or contributing to delivery of internal data products, self-service analytics environments, or data marketplaces.
  • Familiarity with medallion architecture, delta tables, streaming vs. batch pipelines, and Unity Catalog.
  • Understanding of data governance, quality frameworks, and metadata management best practices.
  • Background in business domains such as finance, supply chain, customer operations, or commercial strategy.

Professional Certification

  • CSPO, CAP, CSBA, PMI-PBA, or other business analyst certifications (a plus).

Physical Requirements

  • Vision, hearing, speech, and movements require the use of wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to view a computer screen for extended periods and sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work required hours and days to complete essential functions, as scheduled.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs., and occasionally kneels and bends.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Working conditions include normal office and warehouse settings.
  • After-hours support and weekend support as needed are requirements of the position.
