Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Digital Product Owner focused on Cybersecurity Information Protection for unstructured data capabilities in a hybrid work model in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will translate information protection strategy and risk priorities into delivered scanning and governance outcomes, coordinating delivery across discovery, classification, labeling, enforcement, and remediation workflows.

What you’ll do

  • Translate strategic direction, policy requirements, and risk priorities into shipped capabilities, driving backlog execution and roadmaps with measurable outcomes across discovery, scanning, classification, labeling, enforcement, and remediation.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for Information Protection unstructured scanning and governance, covering discovery and design through build, rollout, adoption, and ongoing sustainment.
  • Act as the primary interface between Information Protection leadership and engineering teams by translating strategic intent into clear technical requirements, delivery scope, and release milestones.
  • Drive cross-team coordination to manage dependencies, remove blockers, and support consistent implementation across platforms and lines of business.
  • Partner with privacy, compliance, legal, risk, and lines of business to deliver scalable, auditable, and compliant solutions across unstructured data in on-prem, cloud, SaaS, and M365 environments.
  • Plan and manage the feature backlog in Jira by writing and refining epics, features, and user stories, working with scrum teams to deliver iteratively and resolve impediments.
  • Lead discovery and prioritization using voice-of-customer input from application teams, data owners, and governance partners, balancing usability with enterprise control needs.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor goals and performance indicators (OKRs/KPIs) to guide delivery decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Use process optimization and automation to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and scale enterprise scanning, classification quality, and remediation execution.
  • Lead investment planning and quarterly delivery execution for the Information Protection product area, tracking progress, risks, and outcomes through governance routines.

Required experience

  • 7+ years of digital product management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile practices and frameworks, along with strong Jira proficiency in a product owner or product manager role.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience delivering enterprise Information Protection, DSPM, data governance, or data protection programs at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with data discovery, scanning, classification, labeling, and/or DLP platforms, such as Microsoft Purview, Varonis, or similar tools.
  • Experience working across multiple cyber domains including Information Protection, Privacy, IAM, Cloud Security, Application Security, Cyber Defense, and Third-Party Risk.
  • Demonstrated risk management leadership, including experience improving enterprise risk posture through technology enablement and governance.

  • Demonstrate foundational AI literacy by using approved AI tools for everyday work tasks such as research, summarization, drafting, analysis, and decision support.

  • Adhere to data privacy, security, and data-handling standards when using AI tools, and use AI ethically and responsibly in alignment with company policies and guidelines.

Compensation

USD 159,000 - 279,000 per yearly (base pay range may vary by work location and other factors). Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
