Scrum Master/Product Owner
Job Description
Work onsite with Caterpillar’s Scrum Team to drive backlog value, sprint execution, and product decisions across larger initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Daily Scrum.
- Maximize product value and improve the effectiveness of the Development Team.
- Act as Product Owner for larger, complex, high-value projects.
- Create, maintain, and prioritize the Product Backlog throughout the project lifecycle based on business value.
- Communicate Product Backlog priorities to the team.
- Serve as the key decision-maker on which features are included in the product.
- Own the vision for what gets built and communicate it to the team.
- Collaborate with Lead Engineers to decompose epics and features into user stories small enough for a single sprint.
- Negotiate business requirements and align on release dates with Product and development teams.
- Convey vision and goals at the beginning of every sprint.
- Manage defect prioritization and resolution support.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Make decisions on release dates and release content.
- Represent the customer and engage with the customer through customer-facing interactions.
Requirements
- Knowledge of decision-making processes and tools; ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions using informed judgment.
- Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs.
- Knowledge of problem control, error control, and management information or computer hardware production processes; ability to identify root causes in a timely and accurate manner and drive resolution.
- Knowledge of policies and techniques for managing a set of related projects within a program; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control to efficiently use technical and administrative resources.
- Knowledge of processes for identifying, evaluating, approving, monitoring, and documenting change; ability to manage production environment and process changes effectively.

Top candidates will have
- 3+ years of direct Scrum Master / Product Ownership experience with software engineering teams in an agile environment.
- Experience using Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) desired.
- Knowledge of Confluence desired.
- Knowledge of Power BI is desired.

- Location: Irving, TX (onsite)
- Onsite requirement: five days a week
- Relocation is available for this position

Compensation
- USD 112,710 - 169,060 per year
- Minimum experience: 3 years
