Job Description
Lead the product strategy and delivery for Caterpillar’s VISTA (Visualized Insights) platform supporting enterprise supply chain and capacity planning.
Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day leadership for VISTA across development, quality, adoption, and continuous improvement
- Own and maintain product vision, roadmap, priorities, and release strategy
- Coordinate with business process owners to identify, evaluate, and prioritize development opportunities
- Translate business challenges into product requirements and user stories
- Lead execution and tracking of enhancements, maintenance releases, and defect remediation
- Partner with software engineering teams to design, build, test, and deploy new capabilities
- Manage change requests and enhancements coming from business users and stakeholders
- Monitor product performance, adoption metrics, and resulting business outcomes
- Collect, consolidate, and prioritize feedback from users and business partners
- Act as the primary product expert by producing product documentation, user guidance, and training materials
- Partner with end users to understand evolving needs and improve user adoption
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, and progress to functional and leadership stakeholders
- Collaborate with Digital Supply & Capacity Planning teams to integrate data, applications, and analytical insights
- Support visualization and analysis of material flow, transportation, inventory, supplier, and asset-related data
- Use quantitative and analytical approaches to strengthen decision-making capabilities
- Partner with supply chain stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and validation
- Identify and resolve design, reliability, performance, and maintenance issues
- Ensure solution quality through testing disciplines, release validation, and feedback loops
- Support governance processes for software product lifecycle management
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software development practices and ability to partner effectively with development teams
- Experience translating business needs into product requirements; prioritizing delivery; ensuring solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with user expectations
- Proven ability to manage and evolve software products that deliver measurable business value
- Ability to balance current business needs with future vision while driving adoption across multiple stakeholder groups
- Capability to identify value opportunities, evaluate options, and recommend solutions that create value
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze workflows, and translate complex operational challenges into digital solutions that improve visibility, planning effectiveness, and decision-making
- Experience managing feature requests and product improvements across the software lifecycle
- Skilled at balancing business impact against technical effort; maintaining a transparent, value-driven product backlog
- Ability to design, coordinate, and execute UAT to confirm products meet business requirements and user expectations
- Skill in establishing acceptance criteria, coordinating stakeholder participation, and validating successful deployment
- Knowledge of tools, processes, and best practices for identifying, investigating, and resolving software issues
- Experience partnering with users and development teams to troubleshoot, manage defect resolution, communicate status updates, and ensure reliability and performance

- Experience applying quantitative, analytical, statistical, modeling, or operational research techniques to solve complex business problems
- Proven success leading or supporting digital products, analytics platforms, or software solutions in product ownership, product management, business analysis, or similar roles
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable digital solutions and collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders
- Experience with large, complex datasets and modern analytics technologies, including SQL, Python, Snowflake, data visualization tools, and data engineering concepts
- Demonstrated use of data and insights to improve supply chain, logistics, transportation, inventory, manufacturing, or operational performance
- Experience driving user adoption, gathering feedback, prioritizing enhancements, and improving products continuously
- Strong communication skills explaining complex analytical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Preferred experience with graph databases, supply chain analytics platforms, digital supply chain visibility tools, or advanced analytics technologies

Location and work details
- Primary work location: Mossville, IL or Irving, TX (onsite)
- Working onsite five days a week

Pay range
$112,710 - $183,140 per year
