Senior Director - Platform Solutions Product Owner

Synopsys is building integrated platform solutions for a rapidly evolving semiconductor and systems landscape. As a senior product leader within a multidisciplinary Multi-Die Ecosystem Platform Solutions organization, you will help shape the strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market focus for platform capabilities that customers can evaluate, adopt, and scale more efficiently.

This role is fully remote across the United States, with a compensation range of USD 189,000 to 283,000 per year. The position also includes a comprehensive total rewards package, featuring an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses (eligibility noted), plus comprehensive health, wellness, and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive strategy and roadmap for integrated platform solutions focused on strategic semiconductor and system-level opportunities.
• Identify market opportunities and customer requirements, translating them into platform capabilities, priorities, and measurable product outcomes.
• Partner across multiple Synopsys product and engineering organizations to bring complementary technologies together into coherent customer solutions.
• Set the right balance between reusable platform capabilities, partner technologies, and customer-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to align product requirements, technical priorities, and development investment decisions.
• Lead customer evaluation and adoption strategies, working directly with strategic customers to understand architecture requirements, establish proof points, and support design-win activities.
• Develop relationships with technology partners and broader industry communities for needed complementary capabilities.
• Contribute to go-to-market strategy, positioning, business cases, and investment decisions for new platform opportunities.
• Represent Platform Solutions with customers, partners, and senior internal stakeholders, communicating strategy, priorities, dependencies, and expected business outcomes.
• Help establish scalable and repeatable platform approaches that apply across multiple customers and markets.

Requirements

• 20+ years of relevant experience across semiconductors, embedded systems, software-defined systems, technology platforms, product management, or related technology businesses, including significant leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience defining, developing, or bringing complex technology products and platforms to market that involve multiple hardware and software capabilities.
• Strong technical understanding of system and SoC architecture, including hardware/software interaction and semiconductor product-development methodologies.
• Experience with software-enabled platforms including firmware, middleware, operating systems, application frameworks, and developer environments.
• Understanding of early development and validation environments such as virtual platforms, simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping.
• Ability to translate customer and market requirements into product strategies, roadmaps, investment priorities, and measurable business outcomes.
• Experience working across complex, independently managed engineering, product, and business organizations in a matrixed environment.
• Experience establishing technology partnerships and industry collaborations or engaging broader technology communities.
• Significant customer-facing experience and confidence engaging with both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Understanding of go-to-market strategy and the commercial considerations involved in bringing new technology solutions to market.
• Experience leading sizeable cross-functional or distributed organizations and managing significant business or investment responsibilities is highly desirable.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
