Senior Product Owner
Job Description
Strategic Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Product Owner to support a W-2 contract role focused on CASPAR (Cost Allocation Schedule Performance Analytics & Reporting), a strategic interconnection platform. In this onsite position in Charlotte, you will own the execution of the product roadmap, from requirements and backlog through validation and migration to CASPAR.
You will work closely with business sponsors, Product Management, and cross-functional partners to ensure delivery aligns with interconnection business processes, cost allocation methodologies, regulatory requirements, and operational reporting needs.
Role overview
- Lead definition, delivery, and lifecycle management of CASPAR (Cost Allocation Schedule Performance Analytics & Reporting).
- Own roadmap execution, including requirements, backlog management, stakeholder alignment, validation, and migration to CASPAR.
Responsibilities
- Build deep understanding of interconnection business processes, cost allocation methodologies, financial data, and regulatory requirements.
- Own delivery of the approved CASPAR roadmap in partnership with business sponsors and Product Management.
- Elicit, document, analyze, refine, and maintain business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation.
- Build, groom, maintain, and manage the product backlog, ensuring traceability from business objectives through delivery.
- Document business process workflows, business rules, financial calculations, data requirements, and operational procedures.
- Ensure product requirements reflect business processes, compliance needs, operational objectives, financial calculations, and reporting requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder work sessions to gather requirements, resolve ambiguities, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, analysts, testers, business SMEs, and vendor partners to deliver product enhancements.
- Support data integration initiatives by defining business requirements, validating mapping logic, reviewing transformation rules, and verifying integration outcomes.
- Validate delivered functionality against approved requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Review and verify source-to-target mappings, data transformations, reconciliation results, reporting outputs, and business rule execution.
- Support testing activities including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and data validation efforts.
- Partner with technical teams to support data integrity, governance, auditability, and operational readiness.
- Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and implementation challenges, and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.
- Support onboarding, training, change management, and adoption activities.
- Communicate roadmap status, implementation progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the Interconnection product ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 5 years of related experience.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience: High School/GED with 10 years of related experience.
- Product ownership, product delivery leadership, or business systems implementation experience.
- Requirements elicitation, documentation, refinement, and backlog management.
- Business process analysis and workflow design.
- Enterprise data integration initiatives and related data validation, reconciliation, and data governance activities.
- Verification of source-to-target mappings and integration outcomes.
- Experience working with complex business rules, calculations, and decision logic.
- Stakeholder facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Agile software delivery methodologies.
- Experience supporting the development and implementation of custom software products.
