Senior Product Owner - Agile

Build and deliver complex product outcomes in an Agile, SAFe environment. This onsite Senior Product Owner role partners with product managers to execute product strategy, lead backlog and delivery for large technology initiatives, and help teams turn roadmap priorities into shipped experiences. You will guide priorities across Agile ceremonies, coordinate business validation, and ensure alignment from planning through release and acceptance.

What you’ll do

• Take ownership for components of a complex initiative, providing direction or vision for a group of scrum teams tied to their business solution, including resolving highly complex or technical issues.
• Lead delivery team priorities in PI planning, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies, aligned to larger experience platform priorities and the vision set by product management.
• Partner with product managers to clearly translate product strategy to the delivery team and support execution of the product roadmap.
• Deliver new experiences by working with delivery, experience design, business, and operations partners to design new products and improvements to existing capabilities.
• Author and maintain the team’s user story backlog, serving as a subject matter expert on features, user stories, and product capabilities.
• Perform triage on critical issues, escalating when necessary, and communicating consistently with all concerned parties.
• Coordinate business validation with a focus on fitness for use, answering development questions and providing clarifications.
• Update leadership on epic and feature delivery schedules, including dependencies impacting deliverables and recommended solutions.
• Partner with solution architects and technical leads to ensure solutions address program priorities while balancing client experience and technical integrity.
• Facilitate sprint planning and sprint demos with stakeholder groups, providing final acceptance for completed user stories in sprint demos aligned to acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
• Coordinate release-specific business documents, including support model definitions, go/no-go approvals, internal release notes, and other release living documents.
• Support adherence to Product Management Lifecycle (PML) process and procedures, including security, risk, and audit needs, and help ensure action items and deadlines are met by partnering on evidence with product managers.
• Mentor other Product Owners on product delivery practices.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, design, or technology (or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 10+ years of banking, financial services, or other relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in product, analysis, technology, and/or design.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience as a Product Owner for Agile team(s).
• Experience defining and delivering large-scale business initiatives to execute a product roadmap, including stakeholder management, requirements elicitation, test planning/support, and business-level product validation.
• Demonstrated technical acumen and ability to align product and technology roadmaps with engineering.
• Proven ability to translate strategic plans into tactical daily execution.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Comfort managing concurrent projects in a fast-based, results-driven environment, with the ability to work through ambiguity and make independent decisions.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and recommend action plans.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, communication, and negotiation skills, including creating and delivering succinct executive-level presentations.
