Senior Product Owner in SAFe Environment-

Raytheon is hiring for a Senior Product Owner role in a SAFe environment in Tucson, AZ (hybrid). This position helps translate business opportunities into actionable feature objectives, working closely with Agile teams and stakeholders to support delivery of key business capabilities. What you’ll do

• Serve as the Product Owner for one or more Agile project teams operating within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Partner with product management, business owners, stakeholders, customers, architects, and software developers to move complex opportunities into clear development feature objectives.
• Own and maintain a prioritized product backlog, keeping it regularly updated to reflect evolving needs.
• Ensure user stories are clear, well-defined, and include appropriate acceptance criteria.
• Validate, accept, and report on delivered work items to confirm they meet business intent.
• Actively participate in and promote SAFe ceremonies, including program increment planning, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
• Communicate and present progress and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to best practices, guidelines, training, and knowledge-sharing with peers to strengthen the Product Owner community.
• Work with stakeholders to support teams in integrating risk management processes and needs into application development.

What you bring

• University Degree or equivalent experience (or advanced degree in a related field).
• Minimum experience requirement typically includes 10 years of prior relevant experience, or 7 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience as an Agile Product Owner or Product Manager supporting program projects.
• Technical and product management leadership experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance required prior to start; U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.

Preferred qualifications

• Certified Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience supporting execution using SAFe.

• Experience with risk management practices.
• Experience leading in a technical or software development environment.
• Documented results supporting collaborative analysis and problem-solving.

Compensation

USD 132,400 - 251,600 per year.
