The Product Owner (T3/T4) leads a software product team within Northrop Grumman Space Sector, onsite in El Segundo, CA. This role centers on owning the product roadmap, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and guiding agile software delivery.
Role Overview
As the Product Owner for a software development team, you will steer priorities, maintain alignment with government needs, and drive delivery within an agile framework. This onsite position emphasizes stakeholder collaboration, roadmap ownership, and cross-program coordination to strengthen warfighter capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Product Owner for a software development team
- Fulfill the CAM role, keep the budget updated, and manage the staffing plan
- Provide regular briefings to executive leadership and customers
- Coordinate and prioritize stakeholder needs across multiple products
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions addressing government needs across programs and to advance warfighter capabilities
- Own the integrated Product Roadmap, defining priorities of software capabilities aligned with stakeholder mission needs
- Iterate the Product Roadmap with stakeholders to address evolving priorities
- Translate stakeholders' needs into the product backlog, refine and prioritize backlog items, and support backlog refinement and story mapping
- Drive team performance to meet sprint and release commitments, escalate and remove impediments, and report status to senior management
- Engage in Program Increment (PI) Planning Activities; ensure PI objectives reflect customer priorities and business value, identify risks and dependencies for the Scrum Team and across the program
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, or similar plus 5 years of experience, or a master’s with 3 years of experience
- Software Development experience
- 1+ years of CAM experience
- EVM Experience 1+ years
- Must be a US Citizen
- Active Top Secret and ability to obtain and maintain SCI access at time of application
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, or similar plus 8 years of experience, or a master’s with 6 years of experience
- Product Owner Certification
- 2+ years CAM experience
- 2+ years EVM Experience
