Sr. Consulting Manager - Product Owner - Transportation, Logistics & Supply Chain

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Consulting Manager and Product Owner to lead product strategy and delivery for transportation, logistics, and supply chain initiatives. The role blends client advisory with hands-on product ownership to translate business priorities into scalable digital products and measurable operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for transportation, logistics, and supply chain offerings, grounded in client and customer needs.
• Own the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and ongoing optimization to improve quality, delivery speed, and business outcomes.
• Manage the product backlog by converting strategic priorities and customer insights into clear, sprint-ready user stories.
• Provide client guidance on product strategy, trade-offs, and emerging opportunities across transportation, warehousing, freight, and supply chain operations.
• Set testing strategies, acceptance criteria, and quality standards in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Create performance dashboards to monitor adoption, reliability, efficiency, and ROI.
• Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate workshops to strengthen alignment and accelerate decision-making.
• Contribute to proposal and business-development activities that expand the transportation and supply chain practice.
• Coach product owners and consulting teams to strengthen consistent product management practices.
• Demonstrate the Cognizant Way to Lead by building trust, setting direction, and delivering results with a strong client focus.

Required Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or management consulting, including demonstrated leadership in transportation, logistics, or supply chain, with a record of owning product vision and delivery.
• Deep expertise in transportation, logistics, and supply chain domains, including experience across TMS, WMS, freight, distribution, fulfillment, or last-mile delivery.
• Proven experience leading client-facing consulting engagements and advising senior stakeholders.
• Strong working knowledge of Agile product delivery, including design, testing, and release.
• Experience applying product and operational metrics, such as service levels, order fulfillment, and ROI, to guide decisions.
• Ability to lead globally distributed cross-functional teams with strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, information technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications (These Will Help You Succeed)

• Experience in the courier, express, and parcel domain or related last-mile delivery operations.
• Experience across transportation management, warehousing and distribution, freight forwarding, supply chain planning, cold-chain logistics, customs and compliance, or inventory optimization.
• Knowledge of transportation and supply chain technologies, including TMS, WMS, EDI, APIs, IoT-enabled logistics, data platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled product capabilities.
• Experience delivering large-scale transformation programs within manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain consulting engagements.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Work Model and Location

Hybrid role requiring three days in a client office in either Alpharetta, Georgia or Parsippany, New Jersey.

Compensation

• USD 135,000 - 158,500 per year.
• This position may be eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
