Sr Product Owner

The Senior Product Owner will lead product execution by setting direction, prioritizing work, and accepting delivery outcomes to support valuable and properly functioning product capabilities. The role coordinates Agile delivery, manages the roadmap, and partners with internal and external stakeholders to drive releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the voice of the client, representing both external and internal customer perspectives.
• Partner with internal and external customers to analyze needs and align the product roadmap to strategic goals.
• Own the product roadmap and define scope through backlog creation.
• Develop backlog items including epics, features, and user stories that guide the Agile software development team.
• Address product-related issues, make informed decisions, and conduct trade-off analysis to remain aligned with business deliverable commitments.
• Draft key objectives and results and strategies, then apply data to support product and business decisions.
• Maintain a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, including integration points and dependencies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders during visioning and concept development.
• Take accountability for created products within the product model, and communicate product needs with business partners.
• Assess value, develop business cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on maximum value aligned to product strategy.
• Help clients understand the business model, value, and value proposition.
• Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
• Serve as an internal and external product ambassador and the primary point of contact for product-related questions.
• Create sufficiently detailed feature specifications so development teams have clear understanding.
• Represent the team in interactions with stakeholders, clients, and users.
• Work closely with a senior PO to shape product outcomes that fit the company portfolio.
• Research and analyze the market, users, and roadmap direction; monitor competitors and industry trends.
• Build practical understanding of Agile practices, Lean Startup, new technology opportunities, and other emerging trends.

• Experience defining minimum marketable features and minimum viable products.

• Overall understanding of technologies used in the product.
• Knowledge of the financial services payments industry.
• Experience with Azure or GCP Public Cloud Technologies.
• SaaS experience.
• Experience with Jira and the Atlassian stack.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban.
• Experience with Jira Align.
