Job Description
Associated Bank is building an enterprise data platform that supports smarter, more reliable decision-making across the organization. In this onsite Wisconsin role, the Technical Product Owner leads strategy, development, and operations for the platform, with a focus on adopting DataOps and MLOps practices to improve scalability, security, reliability, and efficiency.
You will also help shape future data and analytics capabilities by partnering with business and technology teams, evaluating emerging technologies, and translating priorities into an actionable roadmap. In addition, this role includes leading and mentoring a team of data platform engineers and administrators while reinforcing a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an enterprise DataOps strategy and roadmap to strengthen scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data platform engineers and administrators, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Build and advance MLOps capabilities to enable compliant, efficient, and reliable machine learning model deployment.
- Drive automation initiatives using Infrastructure-as-Code and related technologies to streamline deployment and platform management.
- Oversee daily cloud data platform operations, including monitoring, performance optimization, and cost management.
- Partner with business and technology teams to evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to strengthen data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to cloud security, data protection, and governance best practices across the platform.
- Optimize data integration and ETL/ELT processes to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 8+ years of experience in information technology, software/application development, data platforms, or product ownership.
- 3+ years of technology leadership experience.
- Experience with Python and modern data engineering practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, cloud platforms, and data management concepts.
- Experience with DataOps technologies such as Airflow, Kafka, Spark, or similar tools.
- Experience with machine learning deployment, workflow automation, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Pay Range: $100,590.00 - $172,440.00 per year
