Senior Specialist, Product Owner
Job Description
Build trusted, reusable data products on the Data & Analytics team and help enterprise data become client-consumable assets. This onsite role supports the full data-product lifecycle, from intake and prioritization through governance, certification, documentation, delivery, adoption, and change management.
What you’ll do
- Coordinate end-to-end onboarding and enablement of data products, including intake, scope definition, ownership alignment, metadata readiness, governance review, certification, provisioning, testing, documentation, and release readiness.
- Partner across Product, Engineering, Data Governance, Operations, Platform, and Client Delivery teams to define responsibilities, manage dependencies, align sequencing, and clarify decision and escalation paths.
- Develop and maintain reusable operating standards such as playbooks, data dictionaries, process flows, decision records, and stakeholder-facing documentation to improve consistency and reduce reliance on manual or informal knowledge.
- Drive adoption of scalable delivery patterns, moving teams from one-off solutions toward reusable data models, governed provisioning approaches, and standardized platform capabilities.
- Apply product management discipline and data fluency to incorporate stakeholder feedback, inform roadmap priorities, measure value delivery, and continuously improve data capabilities that support decision-making, operational efficiency, and strategic outcomes.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data management, information systems, business analysis, finance, technology, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in data product management, data governance, business analysis, technology delivery, or a related field within a complex organization.
- Experience coordinating initiatives across business, product, engineering, governance, operations, and client-facing teams.
- Experience working with workflow, metadata, reporting, and collaboration tools, including Collibra, JIRA, Power BI, Snowflake, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
- Practical knowledge of data-governance concepts such as metadata, data lineage, data quality, authoritative data, stewardship, ownership, controls, data contracts, and certification.
- Plus: experience with cloud data platforms, semantic models, knowledge graphs, data marketplaces, APIs, or AI-ready data practices.
