Job Description

Bravo17 LLC is a growing federal digital services firm building user experiences for federal agencies. This role blends UX research and design so you can improve real-world journeys, collaborate across teams, and raise the bar for usability in complex, regulated environments.

Working remote, you will contribute to discovery and delivery through user research, interface design, and clear communication with product, engineering, and federal stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Assist with user research activities including user interviews, surveys, quantitative analysis, and usability testing.
  • Analyze user data and help develop user personas, journey maps, and other user-centered artifacts.
  • Support creation of research reports and presentations.
  • Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes under guidance of senior designers.
  • Participate in design reviews and critiques.
  • Learn and apply UX best practices to design solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate design decisions and rationale clearly and concisely.
  • Seek ongoing opportunities to learn and grow UX skills.
  • Stay current on trends and best practices in UX research and design.

Core qualifications

  • 0-4 years of practical experience in the UX field.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Basic knowledge of qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, including good file setup hygiene and solid prototyping skills.
  • Excellent communication, especially written, plus strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly, think critically about your work, and adapt to new challenges.
  • Portfolio demonstrating hands-on experience applying UX principles.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) preferred.

Security clearance

  • Secret Required (or willingness to apply for Secret).

Location and work model

  • Atlanta, GA (remote).
  • Bravo17 is also growing presence in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, and Washington DC areas, and candidates in these hubs can engage with local team members.

Education

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) preferred.
